Hole At Vic Theater
July 16, 2010
I mostly focused solely on Courtney Love during her set with newly-revived band Hole. Not only because is she the only surviving original member, but because ironically enough, this one-time soundtrack band for feminist angst trailblazing the riot grrl genre has been replaced with an all-male backing band.
Love didn’t disappoint, though, in providing some token frontwoman photos:
Photographer’s notes: Lighting was tough for this show. The Vic is somewhere in-between intimate club and medium-sized theater hall. So the stage lighting consists of some spot cans with rather focused intensity. Not super flattering. It might have helped if I busted out my 100mm prime lens, but I shot this entirely with a 17-50mm zoom, considering I was pretty close up.
