Reverend Horton Heat @ Metro Chicago
November 07, 2010
Last night Reverend Horton Heat brought the psychobilly flavor to Metro Chicago, on tour to celebrate their 25(!) years as a band. You have to respect any band that can rock the upright bass!
Photographer’s Notes: While I busted out the wide angle zoom for a few shots (especially for that huge upright double bass!), the 85mm 1.8 really shined for this show. The trio took up more-or-less their own spots on the stage, and so the 85mm was a great way to get some individual shots of each member.
I also want to mention how much the Metro has come along in bringing the lighting lately. I never needed more than ISO 2000 for this set, being washed in beautiful colors from the sides, with plenty of front lighting.
