She Wants Revenge @ Club Nokia

Opening for Peter Murphy at Club Nokia was She Wants Revenge. They were a fitting opening act, as frontman Justin Warfield himself claimed that Peter Murphy is a huge influence on his own singing style, and it shows. Despite their moodier, darkwave sound, She Wants Revenge had the entire audience cheerily singing along.
PHOTOGRAPHER’S NOTES: In keeping with SWR’s darkwave vibe, the stage lights were often subdued, or displaying deep purple and blue hues, forcing me to utilize my 85mm 1.8 lens for a large portion of shooting, due to it’s wider aperture and low-light focusing ability. But executing a little patience for the lighting to open up just enough, I was able to capture some great shots.
